Lingmere Fisheries is set amongst peaceful rural surroundings, and the Pleasure Lake offers great opportunities for beginners and experts with depths to 6ft. 

Good pleasure bags can be built from all pegs with the option to fish tight into the margins, fish ‘match style’ at pole length or target the overhanging trees on the island which offer refuge for the more elusive ‘doubles’ and ‘twenties’. 

There are 32 evenly spaced pegs around Match Lake, all with consistent depth. This lake really does have the potential for net bursting match weights.

The usual rules apply here:  Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult, barbless hooks only, no fish to be taken away, 2 rods per person, landing nets must be used, nets must be dipped, keep-nets allowed in matches only (carp friendly mesh only) and no rods are to be left unattended, and last but certainly not least all litter must be taken home.

There’s no restriction on bait, methods or ground bait usage, although they do ask that good common sense is used and that ground bait is used in moderation.

Lingmere really is a great find, it's surroundings and lakes will provide an excellent day’s fishing whatever your experience, and they are open all year round.  Good news for female anglers too, there is a spotless ladies loo here!
