West Pitt Farm is set in 17 acres of unspoilt and peaceful Culm Valley and is perfectly positioned to explore the glorious coasts and countryside of Devon. Ideal for fishing holidays or a relaxing family break and its fair to say that once you’ve visited here, you will be sure to go back again and again. There's excellent coarse fishing with four well stocked spring fed lakes. Whether you're a competitive or pleasure angler, you will be sure to enjoy your stay here. Higher Lake (Kingfisher) is one acre in size and contains large stocks of golden tench, bream to 8lb, golden orfe and koi, together with carp in the high teens. The lake record currently stands at around 150lbs. Additional facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, children’s play area and an indoor games room. Lake Details:
Mallard Lake is the largest of the West Pitt lakes 1.25 acres, and probably the most popular. The predominant species is Carp which run to 22lbs, with large numbers from 3lb-10lb. Catches of 120lbs and more are not unusual. Also holds tench roach and rudd.
Willow Lake Although only half an acre in size should not be underestimated. It holds Carp to 15lbs, Tench to 7lbs, Chub, Crucian Carp, Perch to 2lbs with plenty of smaller Rudd and Perch to keep any pleasure angler happy.
Farmyard Pond is half an acre in size and holds large numbers of carp to 15lbs and roach & rudd. Fishing on this lake is reserved for cottage guests only.
The cottages are “Enjoy England” graded 3 and 4 star and are furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout.
